DTR - 50 year anniversary event

DTR have been renting out TV & entertainment technology since the 1960s when a TV set was about the same price as small car and out of the reach of most families. There’s been a lot of change over the last five decades and to celebrate their 50 year milestone DTR wanted to stage a birthday event for customers and staff (past & present). As part of this event they wanted to stage a set from each decade with the TV’s, photos and other memorabilia of that era. Naturally the budget and timing was quite challenging (3 days for me) so they had to be created using stock or self generated material. My contribution started with designing some large period themed posters to help set the scene, I also created the sets that would be used for an animated historical feature playing in each zone. I added small features like aging the required map of NZ and family pictures that tell a story.
