65% of New Zealanders live within 5 kilometers of the sea. As an island nation, the ocean is deeply embedded in our culture and identity. Many of us regularly spend time around the water and feel a strong connection with our beaches and coastlines.
In this film, we wanted to tap into Kiwi’s love for the ocean and urge them to join Sea Cleaners in protecting it. We articulated this through the humble words of passionate ocean advocate, Hayden Smith of Sea Cleaners, who reflects the kind of passion for the sea we want to inspire in people.
