The University of Auckland Alumni wanted to create a book to help forge cooperative relationships between the University and those who provide expertise, advice and philanthropic support. The opening decades of the 21st century have exposed serious problems for humankind. They approach across a number of fronts: climate change, water quality and shortages, the rise of violent religious fundamentalism, the destruction of life in our oceans etc. In this book we asked a series audacious questions we think are important and with them active research examples of ambitiious answers to greatly improve our future.
