Ford were sponsoring the X-Factor, so we turned the back seat of the Ford Kuga into a mobile recording booth and joined the X Factor audition caravan around the country, inviting people to join our support band, The Passengers, and help us re-record a kiwi classic, Fade Away.
The old, young, hairy, tattooed and tone deaf jumped into the specially rigged car and sang-along. We collected over 1000 different renditions of the song, and from them selected the best (and most tuneful) to compile into a: music track, 3 minute music video, cut down for rugby stadiums, 20 idents for X-Factor and endless unique clips for the passengers microsite.
