In a world where music companies upload thousands of bubble gum Bieber-esque pop songs for free on Spotify on an hourly basis – how do you get your album release noticed by cynical millennials? Especially when it’s the debut album of unknown, unsigned, artist. We went against the wave of ubiquitous global digital supply, by making the CD player of a single taxi in Auckland, New Zealand, the only place you could hear the album. To hear the album ‘Welcome to the Primal-Digital’, you simply phoned the driver, Mandeep Singh. Mandeep isn’t your average taxi driver – he also happens to play tabla on the album.
